Babette is a nationally acknowledged artist whose has many diverse talents including flamework (making glass beads with a torch), fused glass, metal clay (fine silver), polymer clay, painting, mixed media collage, beading, and rubber stamping. With the assistance of Dallas TV, she produced a video "Making Paste Papers". She exhibits locally and teaches and demonstrates at trade shows nationally as a certified professional demonstrator (CPD) and teacher (CPT), earning her certifications through The Craft and Hobby Association (CHA) in 1996. She has been a teacher of adults for over 15 years. She has achieved Levels I, II, and III certifications with Precious Metal Clay (PMC), and is certified as an Art Clay Silver (ACS) instructor. She teaches lampwork instructor at Wild Beads in Arlington, and has also taught metal clay classes at the Craft Guild of Dallas. In addition to artistic pursuits, her occupation is digitizing though her company, Digit Designs. By using computer technology, she digitizes corporate logos into embroidery stitches that can be sewn in embroidery shops on shirts, jackets and gift items. |
